The AQ-SPEC program has acquired a number of commercially available "low-cost" air quality sensors. Please click on the image for information on a specific sensor as provided by the manufacturer.
General Description Vaisala Air Quality Transmitter AQT410 (v.1.11 and v.1.15) is a compact solution to monitoring air quality and meteorological data. AQT410 is an air quality transmitter that measures up to four most common gaseous pollutants such as nitrogen dioxide (NO2), nitrogen monoxide (NO), sulphur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen sulphide (H2S), and ozone (O3). The measurement data is sent wirelessly to a web-based database or available locally via a serial interface. Principle of Operation
The gas measuring is based on proprietary advanced electrochemical technology that enables ppb measuring. The gas analysis module compensates the impact of ambient conditions on the sensor elements with algorithms and active temperature control. Features
Applications • Urban air quality measuring networks • Smart building automation (ventilation control) • Roadside and tunnel monitoring (traffic emissions) • Monitoring point emissions sources • Industrial emission monitoring • Mobile measuring • Research applications and public projects • Indicative measuring by authorities • Solar-powered air quality networks Developer's product webpage
