The AQ-SPEC program has acquired a number of commercially available "low-cost" air quality sensors. Please click on the image for information on a specific sensor as provided by the manufacturer.
General Description The Sensirion Nubo uses proprietary contamination-resistance technology and long-lasting components to provide real-time measurements of PM1.0 and PM2.5 mass concentrations. It also measures temperature, relative humidity and dew point.
Principle of Operation The Sensirion Nubo’s uses Sensirion SPS30 particulate matter sensor. The measurement principle is based on laser scattering using advanced, high resolution particle size binning. The sensor uses advanced algorithms to calculate PM1.0, and PM2.5 mass concentrations.
