The AQ-SPEC program has acquired a number of commercially available "low-cost" air quality sensors. Please click on the image for information on a specific sensor as provided by the manufacturer.
General Description The Piera Systems Canāree R1 sensor is a standalone air quality monitor that measures particulate matter (PM1, PM2.5 and PM10) in real-time; with optional addition of temperature and relative humidity sensors. The data is transmitted via WiFi, Bluetooth or ethernet to the cloud and data can be visualized on the SenseiAQ dashboard. SenseiAQ logs all data to the cloud for advance analytics and integration with existing Building Management System software. Principle of Operation The Piera Systems Canāree R1 uses a Piera IPS-7100 particle sensor that utilize a photon-counting method to measure PM in seven different size bins (PM0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 1., 2.5, 5.0 and 10). The sensor reports particle counts, size and mass concentration.
