Met One - C-12

General Description

The Met One C-12 unit is a portable monitor that provides real-time carbon concentration measurements. Data can be visualized and retrieved via Met One’s web portal.

Principle of Operation

The Met One C-12 units can be configured as a single wavelength (880nm) or dual wavelength (370nm and 880nm) carbon monitor. The unit measures the optical attenuation at the configured wavelength through a filter and converts it to carbon concentrations using a software-based loading algorithm. The measurement at 880nm is interpreted as Black Carbon (BC) concentration and the measurement at 370nm is interpreted as Brown Carbon (BrC) concentration of the total suspended particulate matter. The units have a capacity of over 500 filter advances per filter tape roll.
