Liveable Cities

General Description

The Liveable Cities (a division of LED Roadway Lighting Limited) air quality sensors provide real-time measurements of PM_1.0, PM_2.5 and PM₁₀ mass concentrations (SLX-PM_2.5) and real-time measurements of NO₂ (SLX-NO₂) and O₃ (SLX-O₃). These air quality sensors are attached on top of a streetlight via streetlight ANSI-standard receptacle.

Principle of Operation

The Liveable Cities – SLX-PM_2.5 uses the Alphasense OPC-R2 sensor as the raw PM sensor which uses laser beams to detect particles from 0.30 to 12.4 µm in diameter with 16 software bins. Count measurements are converted into mass concentrations of PM_1.0, PM_2.5 & PM₁₀ using embedded algorithms. The Liveable Cities – SLX-NO₂ uses the Alphasense NO₂-B43F gas sensitive electrochemical sensors to measure NO₂. The Liveable Cities – SLX-O₃ uses the Renesas ZMOD4510 gas sensitive metal-oxide to measure O₃.
