The AQ-SPEC program has acquired a number of commercially available "low-cost" air quality sensors. Please click on the image for information on a specific sensor as provided by the manufacturer.
General Description The Igienair Zaack AQI is a multi-pollutant air quality monitoring station that provides real-time measurements of gases (CO, CO2, NO2, O3 and TVOC) and particulate matter (PM1.0, PM2.5 and PM10) mass concentrations, and environmental parameters such as pressure, temperature and relative humidity. Data can be visualized and accessed on the dashboard or mobile application. Zaack provides full services of the sensors including installation, maintenance, calibration and data storage/access.
Principle of Operation The Igienair Zaack AQI sensors use electrochemical sensors paired with specific filters for gas measurements. The measurement principle of the particulate matter sensor is based on laser scattering to convert particle number in different size bins to mass concentrations through its proprietary algorithm.
