The AQ-SPEC program has acquired a number of commercially available "low-cost" air quality sensors. Please click on the image for information on a specific sensor as provided by the manufacturer.
General Description The Aeroqual AQY (v.0.5) is a an air quality monitoring instrument designed to provide real-time air quality data of ozone (O3: 0-200 ppb), nitrogen dioxide (NO2: 0-500 ppb), PM2.5 (0-1000 μg/m3), temperature and relative humidity. The AQY pushes data to the Aeroqual Cloud server and authorized users can access data via a web browser on an internet-connected device. Principle of Operation
This device incorporates Gas Sensitive Semiconductor (GSS) and Gas Sensitive Electrochemical (GSE) sensors to measure gases and a Laser Particle Counter (LPC) which uses a light scattering method to size and count particles and then convert them to a mass fraction.
