The following South Coast AQMD Projects have been determined to be subject to CEQA and thus the following documents have been prepared.  The dates in the parentheses are either the closing date for comments on the draft CEQA document or the South Coast AQMD Governing Board Meeting Public Hearing Date when the final CEQA document was certified.  

Please Note:  If a project was determined to be exempt from CEQA, a Notice of Exemption (NOE) may be issued.  The NOEs can be found under "Public Notices" on this website.

The following documents are the current active South Coast AQMD CEQA projects:

June 7, 2024

• Final Environmental Assessment (EA) for Proposed Amended Rule 463 - Organic Liquid Storage (PDF, 2 MB)

• Proposed Amended Rule 1146.2 – Emissions of Oxides of Nitrogen from Large Water Heaters, Small Boilers and Process Heaters 

A detailed CEQA analysis demonstrating that the Proposed Amended Rule 1146.2 is considered a later activity of the 2022 Air Quality Management Plan such that no new environmental document would be required can be found in the Appendix A of Attachment G to the June 7, 2024 Governing Board Package.

• South Coast Air Basin Attainment Plan for the 2012 Annual PM2.5 Standard (PM2.5 Plan) 
  A detailed CEQA analysis demonstrating that the PM2.5 Plan is considered a later activity of the 2022 Air Quality Management Plan (AQMP) and the 2016 AQMP such that no new environmental document would be required can be found in the Appendix VIII of the PM2.5 Plan.
