Incentive Program for Chrome Plating Facilities

For Year 2 CAPP Incentives, the South Coast AQMD received approval to implement a program that would provide chrome plating facilities with financial support to switch to non-hexavalent chromium metal finishing alternatives. Hexavalent chromium is a potent carcinogen that is associated with nasal and lung cancer. In August 2022, the South Coast AQMD released a Program Announcement (PA) to solicit proposals from chrome plating facilities. For a list of participating facilities, please click below:
