Immediate use of commercially available, low-emission mobile and stationary technologies is encouraged through various incentive programs, including incremental funding or subsidies, which are designed to promote voluntary, early introduction of new technologies on an accelerated schedule. This also provides manufacturers with justification to gear up for mass production of the cleaner technologies. Programs that are administered under this section include:
The Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality Standards Attainment Program
Lower-Emission School Bus Program
Prop 1B Funding for Reducing Emissions from Goods Movement
Rule 2202 Air Quality Investment Program (AQIP)
"SOON" Program Funding for Clean-up of Off-Road Diesel Vehicles
INVEST CLEAN, U.S. EPA Climate Pollution Reduction Grant
Funding for the projects comes from the Clean Fuels Program supplemented by the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee's Discretionary Funds (MSRC).
