That’s why AQMD is helping Southern California residents find ways to reduce air pollution from
wood-burning fireplaces. Wood smoke contains gases and tiny particles known as PM2.5 that lodge deep in your lungs and can be harmful to your health.
But there are ways to make a difference. On this website, you will find the knowledge and tools you need to “burn clean.” So take a look around and turn your hearth into a “Healthy Hearth.”
