Status Update of Contracts for Preparation of
CEQA Document for Proposed Expansion and Modernization of Union Pacific
(UP) Intermodal Container Transfer Facility (ICTF)

The Governing Board approved a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with
the Joint Powers Authority (JPA) in May 9, 2008 to prepare the CEQA
assessment for the proposed expansion and modernization of the Union
Pacific Intermodal Container Transfer Facility (ICTF). The JPA is
expected to sign the MOA on June 24, 2008. If the JPA signs the MOA,
staff will be requesting approval of five sole source contracts in the
areas of air quality, health risk, traffic, and other environmental
areas as well as goods movement to provide technical assistance and to
augment staff resources for this effort and to meet the project
schedule. (Funding for these contracts will be reimbursed by the JPA) |

the period May 1, 2008 to May 31, 2008. The report breaks down the plan

Program funds collected by county.

Any
member of the committee, on his or her own initiative or in response to
questions posed by the public may ask a question for clarification, may make
a brief announcement or report on his or her own activities, provide a
reference to the Executive Officer regarding factual information, request
the Executive Officer to report back at a subsequent meeting concerning any
matter, or may take action to direct the Executive Officer to place a matter
of business on a future agenda. (Govt. Code Section 54954.2)
Public Comment
Members
of the public may address the Mobile Source Committee concerning any agenda
item before or during consideration of that item (Govt. Code Section
54954.3(a)). All agendas for regular meetings are posted at District
Headquarters, 21865 Copley Drive, Diamond Bar, California, at least 72 hours
in advance of a regular meeting. At the end of the regular meeting agenda,
an opportunity is also provided for the public to speak on any subject
within the Mobile Source Committee’s authority. Speakers may be limited to
three (3) minutes each.
Americans with Disabilities Act
The
agenda and documents in the agenda packet will be made available, upon
request, in appropriate alternative formats to assist persons with a
disability (Gov’t Code Section 54954.2(a)). Disability-related
accommodations will also be made available to allow participation in the
Mobile Source Committee meeting. Any accommodations must be requested as
soon as practicable. Requests will be accommodated to the extent feasible.
