Execute Contract to Conduct
Systems and Performance Audits of Meteorological Monitoring Network
The proposed contract will conduct systems and performance audits of the
AQMD meteorological monitoring network. The contract will also
include audits of instrumentation and operations for the five AQMD
PAMS upper air meteorological stations, as well as meteorological measurements associated with up to an additional seven
AQMD air quality monitoring stations.

Execute Contract to Provide Technical Support for
Coachella Valley Meteorological Network
The proposed contract will provide technical support for the AQMD
Coachella Valley meteorological network. This effort will provide
field support of the meteorological stations, instrument testing, data
management, and data analysis.

Execute Contract for Rule 2202 Air Quality Investment Program and 2008
Leaf Blower Exchange Program
At its February 1, 2008 meeting, the Board approved release of an RFP to
solicit proposals to meet Rule 2202 Air Quality Investment Program (AQIP)
emission reduction targets and to solicit competitive bids from
manufacturers of low-emission leaf blowers. Proposals for the two
funding opportunities have been reviewed. This action is to (1)
fund two AQIP projects in an amount not to exceed $500,000 (2) award a
contract to Pacific Stihl to conduct the 2008 Leaf Blower Exchange
Program in an amount not to exceed $266,925.

Report on Proposed Amended Rule 1186 - PM10 Emissions
from Paved and Unpaved Roads, and Livestock Operations
Staff is proposing changes to
Rule 1186 to ensure continued performance of street sweepers and to
enable after market parts to be used if they do not affect equipment
performance.

Any
member of the committee, on his or her own initiative or in response to
questions posed by the public may ask a question for clarification, may make
a brief announcement or report on his or her own activities, provide a
reference to the Executive Officer regarding factual information, request
the Executive Officer to report back at a subsequent meeting concerning any
matter, or may take action to direct the Executive Officer to place a matter
of business on a future agenda. (Govt. Code Section 54954.2)
Public Comment
Members
of the public may address the Mobile Source Committee concerning any agenda
item before or during consideration of that item (Govt. Code Section
54954.3(a)). All agendas for regular meetings are posted at District
Headquarters, 21865 Copley Drive, Diamond Bar, California, at least 72 hours
in advance of a regular meeting. At the end of the regular meeting agenda,
an opportunity is also provided for the public to speak on any subject
within the Mobile Source Committee’s authority. Speakers may be limited to
three (3) minutes each.
Americans with Disabilities Act
The
agenda and documents in the agenda packet will be made available, upon
request, in appropriate alternative formats to assist persons with a
disability (Gov’t Code Section 54954.2(a)). Disability-related
accommodations will also be made available to allow participation in the
Mobile Source Committee meeting. Any accommodations must be requested as
soon as practicable. Requests will be accommodated to the extent feasible.
