AQMD Rule 1176
requires that the inspection and monitoring of sumps & wastewater separators
at petroleum refineries, oil production fields, chemical plants, and
industrial facilities be performed by a
Rule 1176 Certified Inspector
(pdf 35 kb).
Rule 1176 requires individuals seeking to
become Certified Inspectors to complete a District approved fugitive
emissions compliance inspection program. The program includes two separate
courses:
· Rule
1176 Sumps & Wastewater Separator Certified Inspector class (offered by
AQMD); and,
· CARB Training Course #395 (offered by CARB)
Individuals
who attend and successfully complete both classes will become Rule
